Drawing a perfect Pentagram (Panchakara)
- Start by drawing the Sat-kona and add a circle to the outside and divide as shown.

2. At the point marked draw a circle (this circle is the same size as the one used to draw the Sat-kona).

3. Then draw a line through the pivot point through the point marked, this point is the 10th house of the Zodiac, Makara, it is also the South directing ruled by Yama representing the Earth. Adjust the compass as needed and draw another circle as shown. The intersecting points are the feet of the Panchakara (Star of Man).

4. Adjust the compass to the mark shown on the original first circle, the pivot point being Yama. Draw an arc, this arc is the bow of Shiva.

5. Now connect all the intersecting points as marked.

The Panchakara is the basis of the Shiva Yantra which represents the mahabhutas, the five elements, Earth, Water, Fire Air and Ether.
